Larry VANCE also advised that they had located a
hangar in Ottawa quite close to the TSB Lab.
It is old and large, about four times the size
of Hangar ‘A’, and would be capable of storing
all of the material from the recovery.
However, it is unheated and without electricity.
He commented that while they would store the
materials in the hangar, they would have to move
the materials that they wish to work on over to
their lab. It would seem that this is yet
another reason for not moving the investigation
to Ottawa, as there is no suitable building in
which to work. That hangar would be a
totally unacceptable environment in which to
work, due to the cold and then the heat &
humidity of summer. The deterioration of
the exhibits would be rapid.
During the evening, wrote up a test plan for the
seawater wire testing. It is located in
file \AES REPORTS & TABLES\SEAWATER TEST WIRE
PLAN.DOC. Note that this file will be
edited as required until the test is carried
out, at which time it will be added to these
notes.
(Clarification:)
Vance's comments were during a TSB weekly
meeting in the hangar on this date.
