Called and spoke with Insp. LATHEM.  Advised him about the difference in the airfare, but we agreed that we didn’t have time to pursue the matter.  There is only about $200 difference.  Spoke to him about the test wires and the fact that Dr. BROWN has not received what he has asked for.  Also advised him that the first wire bead from Exh #1-3790 has shown no magnesium, iron, or aluminium, even though they have been submerged.  I told him of Dr. BROWN’s suggestion for alternative funding, and he agreed that it was a possible route.  He advised that we would have test wires suitable for Dr. BROWN, even if we have to do it ourselves.

Phoned down to speak with Karl CHRISTIANSEN.  Supt. DUNCAN was in for his briefing and the feeling is very positive that he wants the file fully investigated. 

Spoke with Karl and Vic GORMAN about the Airflow tests.  Andy is going to speak with Vic GERDEN and if we cannot get assurances of receiving copies of the data immediately, then I am on for the trip.  I reminded him about the lead-time for the tickets, that if we know sooner than later, then we get cheaper tickets.  He said he would remind Andy of that.
